[주(note)] 음절의 처음 자리에 오는‘ㅇ’은 음가가 없이, 단지 자리를 메우는 역할
을 한다. 그러나 음절의 마지막 자리에서 받침으로 쓰일 때는 [ŋ/ng]으
로 소리 난다.
Often ‘ㅇ’ just plays the role of a filler. When it occurs in the first position of a syllable,
it is silent but when it occurs in the final position, as a ‘Batchim’, it is pronounced as
[ŋ /ng].
